Hi folks,

I noticed recently that when we enter many words in Google search, a 'Shopping results for...' appears after the first three regular search results.

The 'Shopping results for...' has 3 results below, coming from Google product search.

My question: since when Google has included Google product search results in its regular search interface?

Many thanks for help.

Paul

It's been there for some searches for quite a while - as a part of Universal Search. However, it may be appearing for more search terms now - or different terms. I think Google just recaclulated which searches might have a "buying intention".

Thank you for the reply tedster.

I run a small e-commerce website. So far, I was only concern with Google regular search engine.

Do you think I should also do the work for "Google product search"? Is it worthwile?

Paul.

Oh yes, it can be quite worthwhile, and still free, too. They had a bit of an identity crisis for a while (Froogle, Google Base) but the name now seems to be settled.

We've got a forum dedicated to it - Google Product Search [webmasterworld.com]
