Google De-Indexing My News Related Posts (yet I have Sitelinks)

Hi guys.

My first post on WMM included my news related posts that would disappear from Google's 1st page. Tedster informed me that page 1 on Google (news related) is 'volatile', especially for new sites.

My site is going on 1 year old/ 6 months live. A major website contacted me to spread the word about something and also a link exchange proposal. I was elated as hell because A big site saw some interest in me. So I wrote a post, and I was on page 1 Google, just 2 places south of the website that contacted me.

Now for 2 days that entire page is de-indexed. Google did this to me before. This is a hot news item. It is only good this week. Google gave me site-links, so there is some trust, right! I won't be surprised if in two weeks or even 1 month I am on page 1 for this news item.

Too little and too late or after the story is dead.

What am I doing wrong? Why am I being de-indexed after being 6 months live and with site-links?

Might ask if the "spread the word" is the culprit. News reporting is one thing. "Spreading the word" is like fertilizing a lawn... sometimes the grass comes up green, sometimes it kills the grass.

Or better yet, get those sites using your news articles to provide the link to your site as the source with a "in-content" anchored topic link. Have you heard of "link baiting"? :>~
