Google image result numbers drop

Anyone else notice their Google image result numbers drop in the last week. About 20% down

Do you see any differences that are related to the SafeSearch filter setting - that is, if you set the filter to "off" does, your page count come back to what you expect?

No, the drop is with safesearch off. Safesearch moderate is only about 20 less.

I can't get any of my images to come up in Google, but they do in Bing !
What do I need to do ?

Digmen1, are you talking about images coming up on organic search - "universal search" results? Or are you talking about Image Search?

For Image Search, the site: operator works. Are you seeing 0 image results for a site: operator search?

yes, this drop is happening since a long time.

Hi Tedster,

I am not sure what you mean by universal search result.

What I do is type the name of our product and then click on Images at the top of the Google / Firefox screen.

Our product images comes up from other websites that mention or stock it, but not our own website, which is well represented in normal Google searches.

Also in the other sites where our product is mentioned quite often an image of our product does not come up, but you get other pics from the site - not of our product.

You want to differentiate between images not in the index, and images not ranking well.

Try a search such as site:example.com product, where your domain is example.com. That will show you if the images from your site are indexed - at least to a degree, keywords being a bit "fuzzy" in image search.
