How to complain about Google Groups spam in SERP

Basically a piece of SPAM posted in a "Google Group" is ranking third, with me as one and two, for specific keywords highly important to me (my business name).

This SPAM is in direct competition with me, with the competitors basically having put these keywords in there to capitalize on my traffic from these keywords.

I am very frustrated that after all my hard work of SEO and building links, a piece of #(&$&# SPAM posted in Google Groups in getting such a high ranking. I am very mad at Google for giving this post such a high ranking for the sole reason that it is in a Google Group.

What to do?

Additionally, our WebmasterWorld Google Search Forum Charter [webmasterworld.com] describes four different channels for getting your message to Google. The best way is through your Webmaster Tools account.

Here's what the Charter has to say on the topic....

GETTING INFORMATION TO GOOGLE
Webmaster World is NOT here as a way to communicate with Google. If you want to give input about specific details on how your site or any other site appears in the search results, please use the channels that Google provides.

  1. Use the reporting feature in your Webmaster Tools account. Because your account authenticates you, Google gives this communication higher priority and credibility.

  2. Use this form for giving more anonymous input: Google: Search Quality and Your Feedback [google.com].

  3. At the bottom of every search results page, use the link that says "Disatisfied? Help us improve."

  4. Google also offers a Webmaster Help Forum [google.com]. Your questions - with specific identifying details about your site - are welcome there.

Be precise but brief in your message to Google. Report both the actual search keywords and explain the problem you see.
