Difference in number of indexed pages

When I am checking my index pages for my site in google & bing then I am getting different numbers.

For e.g. command site:mysite.com is showing total 100 pages on my PC in google while on other PC this command is showing 120 indeax pages in google. Both PCs have their individual modem. Same case is for Bing.

Can anyone tell me what is the reason behind that?

Major search engines have different data centers to handle load balancing, and the data is not always identical across those various IP addresses.
