I'm having my website listed in google, but it doesn't have the www. part in front of it, just the domain name and the extension.

1) How can I make google display the url of my website with the www. part?

2) Does it matter in any way if a website is listed with or without the www. part in google?

1) You can use .htaccess to redirect example.com to www.example.com [webmasterworld.com]. Alternatively, or additionally, you can inform Google of your preference via Google Webmaster Tools [google.com].

2) No, it doesn't really matter, as long as you are consistent. This discussion might prove helpful: WWW and non-WWW: What is best to use? [webmasterworld.com]
