Changing a similiar site to same Whois - will it affect ranking?

I have two sites in the same industry, however targeted at different segments and selling different products. Because of the overlap they rank for the same keywords and are both doing very well. For most of the main keywords they are both on the first page in Google. I am not trying to hide the fact that they are owned by the same person, but I am not sure if Google has figured this out yet. They are on the same IP block, yet have different content and different whois data. I am in the process of transferring one of the domains to my registrar...we were previously "leasing" it from a friend. If both these sites now have the same whois data can this affect the way that Google ranks them?

Many people launch new sites with the same whois as an existing site and have no problem. Especially when the two sites are selling different products, I wouldn't expect a ranking problem from changing the whois to match.
