Hi all

First and foremost, I'd like to state that I'm not expecting a definitive answer here, only your best 2cents :)

Assuming #1 for "Firstname Lastname", for that matters, is "firstnamelastname.com"; and assuming it is indeed the most relevant SERP for this keyword: one who's searching "Firstname Lastname2" aims to get to this very site, and not to others.

My site is "firstnamelastnameonline.com": is there any special, specific, pratice I can utilize to compete for this keyword ?

I'd appreciate your thoughts and comments.
Regards
Assaf

I think you would need a whole lot of backlinks with Fistname Lastname as anchor text. Definitely more and better quality overall than the other site has - stay away from any obviously manipulated backlinks, such as forum/blog sigs or other sites you own.

Also, in the case of a person's name, there's a chance that the Whois information may come into play (I haven't verified this) and if the site you are competing with is registered to Firstname Lastname, you may simply be out of luck.
