Guys my site fell from position 4 on page 1 to position 15 in the latest serps shake up. When will I know if thats it for the shake up and then thats where Google has placed my website for good.

This will now allow me the opportunity to see what Google says that I am lacking and fix it.

If I do anything too early then I might screw up my ranking and not know how to bounce back.

Chances are you won't learn much by watching your rankings go up and down. Spend effort developing good, unique content, and then promoting it to get some high quality inbound links to your pages.

So its all about creating link bait then... are we really abandoning SERPS as a method of traffic and depending on word of mouth...? I think its the Bing effect IMHO
