I was just checking [blogsearch.google.com...] and noticed "Beta" in the top left , but couldn't find anything new.
Have i missed something ?

Google is notorious as the company of the perpetual beta release. Everything gets started as a beta and sometimes the label sticks around for years and years. The beta on Blog Search is nothing new.
