New pages not being indexed after putting Adsense on site

I am at a loss and don't know what to do. This has been going on for over 10 straight days. It maybe argued that Google simply does not like my writing but we're talking about long tail keywords here. I usually do real well in ranking with such terms, and have never had any problems ranking for such keywords in my niche because I actually elaborate on the subject.

Please gentlemen advise me as to what i can do. I am guessing It is adsense because otherwise everything is normal. I know links are essential and none of these pages have links. But this has never been a problem in other pages that rank well. Also these pages are fresh and are on the first page and linked to from the “recent posts widget.”

Here is some additional details with regards to my situation. Hopefully a pattern might be recognized. These are the last 10 posts I posted, they are in the order of most recent:

1.Indexed – Not ranking (by tomorrow likely de-indexed)
2.Not Indexed
3.Not Indexed
4.Was indexed and ranked now de-indexed
5.Not indexed
6.Was indexed and ranked(page 1) now de-indexed
7.Indexed and Ranking
8.Indexed and Ranking
9.Indexed and Ranking
10.Not Indexed (Adsense commenced approximately at this point)

Hi everyone,

I would like to give an update and hopefully make something constructive out of this thread. Especially for noobs who might face a similar situation. I mentioned in my initial thread that Google stopped indexing my site after putting up Adsense or shortly after. It could have been because I changed link colors, background colors and also the positions of my columns (sidebars 1 & 2).

So Google stopped indexing me and I took some proactive noob measures i.e. deleted some keywords and edited recent posts. I also cleaned up my internal links, made them less. I also stopped posting frequently from everyday to only once a week. I was hopeless, and thought it was all useless anyway since they weren't making the serps.

I don't know what did it but Google eventually went on to index many pages it never did before. It has also bumped me nicely in terms of rankings. It appears like Google likes me more when I don't write :D I'm not kidding!

I guess Google didn't appreciate the changes I made to the website and as a result put me on “untrust” or whatever. Then after some time decided to “trust” me again. I really don't know.

Cheers

Thanks for the thorough report and update. As you are probably aware, the Adsense addition is not likely to be the trigger. The changes were sho short term, I don;t know that you will ever be able to establish the exact cause - it may have just been something Google changed in the algo that was buggy for a short while.

I am glad to hear things are rolling for you now.

Thanks Tedster,

You're right it could be something on Google's algo's behalf but for noobs like me, we never know and always assume we're at fault.

And yeah it's nice to be 'rolling' :-)
