When I type my website name on google I get a different title that when I do a search for one of my keywords.

If I type my company name in google I see " my company name " as the title

if I type the keyword relating to my company I see " the title I wrote in the meta tags with the keywords "

why is that and how to fix this ?

Thanks,

tedster

Google uses an algo that changes the description and sometimes the title, according to the search that was entered. If someone searches on "your company name", that algo has decided that "Your Company Name" is the title that more users would like to see when they do that search. As long as your <title> element is technically valid, there's really nothing you can do to change this behavior.

if you're listed in DMOZ often the title can be taken from there by Google, particulary for searches where your page comes up but the search KW is not in the title. If this is the case, there is a tag to stop this happening.
