Hi,

I just wrote a post and 30 minutes after doing so Google took my homepage out of the SERPS. It's not even indexed now, doesn't appear in site:domain.com. Also when I type the domain name without .com my site is #10 instead of #1 (not homepage but second ranking page).

The Post I wrote was KW intense but not spamming, I used for example sir widget 1, sir widget 2, sir widget 3 and so on and so on. Could this be the reason or do I need to just stay put because if that's the reason then I'll delete the Post now, but it would be a shame because I know people are actually reading it.

Might not panic so quickly. Sometimes Google just does badly from time to time, in different areas, for different topics. They might be running an index or other function that rolls back, or leaves out, data for that search. If it stays this way for a few weeks then you might have a problem. I hope sir widget 1, 2, and 3 are non-offensive terms because that might result in low or no display.

30 minutes would be mighty quick for the two events to actually be connected.

The terms are not offensive at all but they are popular, the only problem that I can think of is maybe because my site deals with Sir Widget 1 and in the last post I compared Sir Widget 1 to several other Sir Widgets (using each name twice). So maybe many popular Sir Widgets on 1 post could have done something.

Everything else seems fine.

The Post in question got indexed and is in the SERPs.

Conclusion: You guys nailed it, as it wasn't the cause.

I'll wait it out and see what happens.

Thanks.
