I just edited my forum so that all links such as last post and member pages and next post/last post that doesn't contain the original URL of the thread to all have rel="nofollow"
Same for sorting urls... all nofollow.
After reading some threads here on nofollow, I'm just double checking that this is safe. I don't have a nofollow to my homepage ;)

A lot will depend on how the urls for the forum are currently indexed. If you nofollow some urls that Google already registered as important, there could be a re-adjustment period.
