What do people think of the new look for GWT?

Gouri, yikes!
Are you saying the the WMT panel is published by your hosting company? I've never heard of that. I'd almost recommend moving hosts so that you have more control over your site, and the related metrics..

Backlinks are about the same for me, but it would be nice to be able to collapse and expand multiple links from the same site.
I'd also like to know why the related: query only shows 23-27 other sites...come on, I'm not THAT targeted in my 4 niches.
Why am I seeing "nofollow" links being displayed since they are "dropped from the link graph"?
There needs to be a back button on the external links per page reports, so I don't have the click "external links" to get back to the list of pages linked to from other sites.
Since we are stuck at 25 backlinks per page, and we can't collapse multiple links from the same domain, how about adding the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,....567,568 instead of Next and Previous..

I have a question, in the "internal links" part the links with attribute "nofollow" also be counted as internal links?

Today the new Version shows 70% more internal links and 40% lesser external links when compared to older version...

The crawl rate of my site has gone to all time low (from more than 35K daily average to less than 1K), is this something to worry about or just a small glitch?

For the forum (vB, no SEO plug-ins) that has been affected by Google's recent changes (see thread "Google.com SERP Changes - May 2009"), the number of pages with external links has gone up by more than double, and the number of actual external links have gone up (although only slightly).

Internal links have gone up too. The number of pages with internal links has gone up by 20 times, and the number of actual links gone up by 15 times.

Note that doing a "site:" for this forum results in much lower results than before, although non-supp results remains somewhat steady and is similar to the number of pages with external links.

johnnie, I have been looking for it since yesterday : looks like it's gone. Not sure how we are supposed to send a reconsideration request now (not that the old link did much good. I have been trying to get a site re-considered for over a year now and never heard a peep back...)

A friend of mine has a few sites and the WMT is offered with the hosting. It is not published by the hosting company. It really helps to make things convenient. Thanks.

According to an official Google Announcement [webmaster-forum-announcements.blogspot.com], the backlink data is now completely updated in the new WebmasterTools accounts.

On my internal link section it shows the same URL twice in some of them, just with different date crawling.
I haven't read anyone with this problem.

On the "old" webmaster they show ok....

Hello mercedesP, and welcome to the forums.

That sounds like what the old Supplemental Index would do - save an earlier date version of a url in he main index. Everything was url PLUS crawl date. I can see why you wouldn't necessarily appreciate that data in Webmaster Tools. I'm not sure if it's a bug or a feature!

Thank's for the welcoming Tester.

I think (hope for)it's a bug or data hasn't yet finished updating, as I can't really see what is the use of it it this is here to stay.

I may not have giving the right idea of this "bug"?

All internal links of 1st level show ok:
/(*)......... number of inner links

But for most pages the inner linking -when clicking on number of inner links for a giving page such as:
/page.php .....number

have repetitions as:
...
/page1.php crawl date
/page1.php later crawl date
/page2.php crawl date
/page2.php later crawl date
...

is this what you refer to as "old Supplemental Index"?

on the old webmaster tool the total number is 180 while on the new one is 345. Neather is true.

It's a new site with only 2 months of history, in continuous development and a total of 28 pages (all 28 accesible from all 28 pages the belong to the navigational menu).

The only thing I can think of is that I submited the sitemap twice in a short period (when content gets updated), but I can't find any other "reasons" for this.

Most of all, I'm "buffled" as why nobody else has reported anything similar.

I'm not finding that to be true for mine. However, they have updated the old version and I'm seeing many more backlinks there than before. The same goes for the "Top Search Queries" section.

I noticed that the last updated in Webmaster Tools was over a week ago.

I thought there would be a more recent update but I have not seen it.

Has anyone else experienced this?

What is happening here?

the new look is definately better. Different subtle colors would have given the site a unique look.

Statguy,

Robzilla had some good suggestions in this thread.

I just wanted to include a link to it since it was moved.
