I have a 7 month old website which had roughly 100 visitors/day within 2.5-3 months. (I am talking organic traffic only!)

Ever since, the traffic has been roughly the same within the 90-120 visitors/day until last week. The past few days I noticed a slope 20% increase (120,140,160) and now its fluctuating within the 150 visitors/day range (for the past couple days).

I was wondering what has been your highest slope or traffic jump for your Search Engine traffic?

How long do I roughly need to wait til I reach the 1000 visitors/day target? I'm assuming its not gonna happen in a day or so!

I am wondering if this trend will continue, and whether its a sign that google trusts the site a bit more. Whats the biggest jump you've experienced in organic traffic in one day?

I've seen explosive growth in some cases - from zero to many thousands a day within just a few weeks. There are huge variables involved - the market niche, the target keywords, how much the site engages in networking and other kinds of marketing, the freshness of the subject matter, and especially natural backlink growth - these factors come to mind immediately.

If those new visits you're seeing are well targeted traffic, then it does sound like Google has given your site a boost for some reason or other. I'd suggest looking at metrics that are more detailed than just raw search traffic - for a start, look into the specific keywords in the Google referer and which urls are getting search traffic for each variation.
