Has anyone else noticed new pages getting pageranks, (from N/A to 0), even before updates? I've been noticing this a lot lately, even on brand new sites.

Yes, and some existing pages are seeing PR changes between the formal PR exports, too. Of course, new pages have always been building PR on Google's backend as soon as backlinks to them get indexed. But it's interesting that Google is sometimes reflecting this in the toolbar now.

I have seen PR going from N/A to 0 many a times in past 2 months for the new pages that I add when there is no PR update going on.

Though, haven't seen any page going PR 1,2,3,... without major update

We've had at least two reports of a url going from 0 to 1 during the off-time.

From what I've seen on one on my sites, greybarred pages went from grey to 0/1/2 without any global PR update.

I would be interested to know if there are instances where the PR went to 0 as soon as Google cached it for the first time?
