Google Adds Site Search Box in Serps?

I was just searching for some information on a college of music for my son and put into google the name of the college. Up popped the site, first in the serps and below were the 8 most important pages..admissions, majors, etc..but below that was another search box with a button with search Berklee edu!
Wow! I have never seen this before and found the innovation exciting.
Am I late to the party on this? I have never seen it before and am extremely impressed.

This site search feature was first introduced in March of 2008 (see reference [webmasterworld.com]) but in recent weeks more people have been mentioning it - so it may now be rolling out to more sites.
