Google Pagename Titles: PDFs on Windows Hard Drives

The URLs are correct, but the Hard Drive filepaths are showing as the page titles, which was probably the attachments being uploaded that way.

[PDF]C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Desktop\DirName\DirName ...

That's a good bet, Marcia. Look into the meta data for the PDF file. By default, many applications grab the filepath for the title unless the author intentionally enters the title. Many apps are not built with search in mind by rather with internal organization purposes, either personal or business.

Metadata in the non-html files is a vast wasteland on the web. Not only pdf files suffer this problem, but also audio and video in many formats. Getting the metadata right can be almost a secret weapon!

I also saw some Docs showing the same way.
