Subdomain as site link

I today noticed that google serps have changed some of my site links - they have included a sub domain as one of them...

I understood that a sub domain is regarded as a seperate domain - apparently not?

Has anyone else noticed this?

I have my subdomains in the sitelinks for long time.
The sitelinks are basically taken from a good navigation on the site and if the sub-domain link(s) appears in the navigation, it would most often be listed in the sitelinks.

ok thanks... I guess google don't regard subdomains as seperate domain then...
