Google Adds LIFE Photo Archive To Image Search

Google Image Search now includes Life photo archive, and there are some stunning photos to be found.

Note that the search adds what I believe is a new Google source: operator, in this case "source:life" (without the quotes) when you search.

There doesn't appear to be any Official Google Blog announcement (yet). News articles, which are sketchy, indicate this is the official launch of an arrangement that includes Life.com, Getty Images, and Google. The business details are more properly discussed in the GOOG Finance and Business forum [webmasterworld.com].

It's interesting to note that searches for some of the classic Life photo essays that I'm familiar with include photos that were never published.
