We all know that Google requires us to create separate page titles and descriptions for each page in a website. I am currently creating a website where I want to display 6 or 7 pages all featuring the same category of widget (in this case it is a service not a product).

The same title and description would be appropriate for each of these pages and I cannot think of any way to change this other than to use something like

<title>Widget Service Page 1</title>
<title>Widget Service Page 2</title>
<title>Widget Service Page 3</title>
etc.

<meta name="Description" content="Widget Services page 1. This is the first page of a list of widget services." />
<meta name="Description" content="Widget Services page 2. This is the second page of a list of widget services." />
<meta name="Description" content="Widget Services page 3. This is the third page of a list of widget services." />
etc.

What are your views on this. Do you reckon that Google would accept this as being original titles and descriptions?

Do you want to see each of these pages ranking in some way - especially for different query terms? If so, you will probably need to differentiate the title and meta description elements. You certainly can try "Page 2" and so on - as long as the content is different, Google will create a description snippet from the content if the url ever ranks.

Well yes, these pages are not the most important on the website but I would still like to see them rank. I think I will have to get a bit more creative.
