Good morning,

My website is targeting one unique keyword however I noticed that for some of my subpages, the keyword that I should target is different ?

Let me explain, let's say my entire website is targeting the keyword " green widget ". However on one of my subpage I would like to target " red widget "

Do you think I can give it a try and have the word " red " in one page in order to rank this page on " red widget " and have a title for seo that says " red widget " for this specific page or should I stick with the same keyword " green widget " through the entire website ?

Thanks,

You're doing "it" wrong currently. You do not want every page on your site to be SEO'd for "Green Widget". Google is only going to choose 1 page from your site to list for "Green Widget" so you're cannabilizing your own pages. Google ranks pages, not websites.

So yes, make a page about Red Widgets and use that term in the title, H1, and some body copy of that page. Then try as hard as you can to modify all the green widget pages (except the one currently ranking the best) to something different - i.e. from green widget to green widget reviews.
