Custom Site Search displays only some of the results

This is driving me a bit buggy and I have to vent- Maybe somone has an answer as to why; I have site search on my site and when I search Google will come up with so many results for a search, say like 19 or so, then only show 14 and ask if I want to see all 19.

What is the point? Of course I want to see all 19 with out having to click and go through it again. Is there something, some logic I'm missing? What is Google's problem? Is there another site search available?

This is so wholly annoying.

This can happen if you have urls that Google has tagged as near-duplicates. Sometimes a combination of low PR and duplicate titles/descriptions is all it takes, even if the bulk of the content is relatively unique.

Cool- Thanks. I have quite a few pages where the same subject is addressed by various authors. That explains it.

Check out Google WMT. Some of those pages might be listed as having "problems".

Fix those problems and they may just make it back into the regular listings.
