Site down a few days, google dropped PR, when back?

My site was down a few days due to a server crush. Now it is back now. Although my home page maintains its PR, but all internal pages lost their ranking. In the past G had regarded my site as authoritative and ranked most keywords as top one. Do you think G will restore the previous PR once the pages are back or G regards them as new pages?

From other reports we've had, it can take longer for rankings to return after a longer downtime, but if your server continues to provide stable access now, you will see a return. Exact predictions are hard to make, but I'd expect a wekk at most. Do keep us informed - it can help others.

From your wording, I think you may be confusing "PageRank" and "rankings". Or did your PageRank (the green bar in the Google Toolbar) also vanish when your rankings did?

I've had this happen to me on a number of occasions and have found that my position will drop dramatically a couple of days to a week later and will be up and down for the following few months.

One thing you might look into is having a back up site at the ready with all your content loaded and the dns set up on it so u have something to fall back on when you have major outages.

My site was down for about one week. Every internal page lost its ranking bar and ranking on search page. I restored my site about 8 days ago. Today I am seeing many pages coming back on the first pages of search (but not at top as before), some pages has the green bar. It is a good sign and hope it will continue while google is reindex my site.
