Google Web Master Tool Shows me that GoogleBot didn't see my targeted keyword in my content, While its there in site everywhere, Is Google Omitted My Keyword From My Content ?

Few Week Back, I am ranking on top 3 slot for the phrase which is my domain name too. Now I am nowhere in top 100, I did everything including meta tags revision, content checking, sitemap, robots.txt everything.

While checking the site with Google WM Tool, I found a strange kind of situation..

In Statistics, Googlebot does not listed my top keyword (which is a part of top keyphrase) in content, While in keyphrase which is saw by GoogleBot it shows two three keyphrases which includes that keyword which is omitted by GoogleBot in Keyword section.

Is it possible? Or i got a penalty for that particular keyword and I lost ranking for the phrases which includes that keywords.

Please put a light on this issue....

The WMT Statistics has two parts - a traffic report and an impressions in the search report. So WMT is not giving a keyword "analysis" of your pages but rather it's all about traffic. Does that explain what you see? My guess is that you are not ranking for that single keyword search, hence there is no related traffic or impressions to report about.

Hi Tedster,

Thank For The Reply,

I Got your point, But My concern is about What Googlebot reads from my page?

My Report Path

WMT >> Statistics >> What GoogleBot sees >> Keywords

This list of keywords doesn't include my targeted keyword.

It is there in site. In title tag, in meta tags, in h1, in content, in ALT, In links, It is everywhere.

But it doesnt show me in that list. Now i show the help page comment of WMT regarding this

"The What Googlebot sees page provides information about how the Googlebot views the crawled pages of your site. Stats that may be available are:

Common words and phrases - words in your site's content, and both words and phrases in external anchors to your site. "

So as per this definition my keyword will be on the position in Top 10.

But it is not there in the list.. So Googlebot omitted the keyword from content.

Ah, now I understand better, and I do get your concern. I'd suggest validating your pages at the W3C - directly from the server, not via uploading your local copies.

W3C Validator - HTML [validator.w3.org]
