Does Google take more priority over URL's that end in .html ...over URL's that are dynamically created and end in /site/content/ ?

I know url's that end in .php are pretty well penalized..but wasnt sure about just the directory being displayed.

My page displays fine on the /site/content/ page.. but theres a plugin I can install to make the URL a little more friendly so it'll end in /site/content.html.

I appreciate any help.

Sounds like you bought into some very bad information - that's just not true.

The main reason for using extensionless urls is that you can change your server technology in the future without needing to change those urls that are already indexed and ranking. You also give the potential hacker one less clue. Note the direction of this logic -- the best practice is not to change existing urls at all.

The url itself is not much of a ranking factor, especially if the keywords are included both with or without the extension.
