Hello,

Is there any disadvantage to using internal reciprocal links?

Say I have a silo, whose main page links out to article A. Now, does the link back from article A towards its silo main page get devalued because it's reciprocated? If so, how do you design your site so that you channel importance to your silo's main page without orphaning pages?

Whenever you read the phrase "reciprocal links" people are talking about links between different domains, not links within one domain.

Within a site, reciprocal links are essential for usability. Think about the main menu that appears on most home pages. On almost every site, all those pages targeted by the main menu will link back to the home page. That's what you need - an easy way for your visitors to navigate the site.
