How to get wordpress site to show up in Google News?

Hi, I've got a site with a whole lot of news content, articles, no real "blog" stuff. Yet Google seems to have noticed it runs on wordpress and the site gets found under Google Blog Search, but I want it to show up in Google News.

I'll remove all html comments hinting at wordpress but can I speed up the process at google somehow?

You need to submit your site for review to get it included in Google News. See [google.com...]

Note that they will not list many (perhaps the majority of) sites.
