Can't list more than 200 business on a Google Map

The problem I have is I want to list 350+ businesses on the one Google map and then use the link to this map feature and place the iframe on a site.

However, after 200 listings it goes to page two of the map. The 150 remaining listings appear on page two. This is a problem as page two has a different iframe featuring only the 150 listings from page two.

I tried fooling with the Google Maps URL to call more than 200 listings like this: &start=0&num=400 which doesn't work.

Does anyone know how to get around this product flaw for Google Maps?

I want to be able to put as many listings on the same map as I want and call all listings through the one iframe.

Have you searched around on the Google Maps API Group [groups.google.com]? I tried a bit, and easily located a few threads that sort of dance around your question. You may find something spot on with a little more perseverance than I could muster.

Since your need is so highly specialized, I'd guess that your best hope for a dependable answer will come from the developers over there. Our forum here is focused on organic search itself, and not so much on other Google offerings.

Still, someone may spot this thread who has experience with the issue. Let's see what develops.

Hi tedster, thanks for going to the trouble looking around and for the link.

I asked there and finally got a way of getting the problem resolved. Not very conventional, had to take advantage of an unintentional google maps quirk.... for now though long live the quirk.

Could you please let me know what the quirk is on Google Map as I currently have the same problem?

Many thanks.

The process is detailed in this answer:

Once you have the url to search for, close your browser then open maps again and paste the url.
