Hi everyone,

I don't understand why I don't rank the same with synonyms.

Let me explain this with an example : For google the word " trip " it is a synonym of " tour " which means that under a certain sentence ex : " keyword1 keyword2 tour " or " keyword1 keyword2 trip " I should rank in the same position in google but the issue is that I don't rank the same and don't understand why ? Does anyone know why ?

Thank you,

Hello,

I think the assumption that "you should rank in the same position" is wrong in first place.

Also, how did you conclude that "trip" and "tour" are synonyms at google eyes?

If you search both terms separately in google, you'll get completely different results, so it's natural that rankings are different if combinated with different keywords.

If you also want to rank with synonyms, you should use them in your texts and/or build specific content.

It confirms what I think, in order to rank in the same position on different search terms even though they are synonyms having them in the, keyword or description is not enough, they need to be spread out through the website too.. Thank you ,

I guess I have to get back to work again :)
