WMT / "Web Crawl " shows , for one of our site's pages, 5 sites /pages linking to a given page. This is then repeated throughout the site. Some links are shown as being found with a "Discovery Date" going back almost 3 years
All pages were removed more than 12 months ago.
Is anyone else seeing this , and is it a cause for concern regarding ranking ?

No concern at all. If the pages are not found, and you intend them not to be there, you have no problem. The WMT report is just for your information, just in case you did intend those urls to be live.
