How important is it to host the domain in the country according to the extention
i heard mixed things about this
should i host a .nl in the Netherlands and a .de in Germany
does it reflect my ranking?

The strongest signal for geo-located ranking is the country code TLD. If you've already got the ccTLD, then osting location is secondary - and in most cases, the ccTLD is all you need. Backlinks from other sites in that country might provide a good secondary boost for you in the country results, too.
