Should I file a new reconsideration request?

Hello there

Recently I filled a reconsideration request with Google for some overoptimization in my site (I thought that was the cause of my site not showing up on SERPS, but being indexed)as I did change/add some titles.

I must say I am not a Web developer savvy person, I'm just learning.
Some days later, I just found out through Xenu's link app, that my wordpress theme was doing some kind of redirection with the header image : it has a function of showing random headers, that I had just enabled it the same day things started to tank with google. It was one of those changes I completely forgot about.

I don't know if this can or cannot be the cause of my problems, but the thing is: when I filled the reconsideration request, I didn't mention this problem.

Should I request a new one? How long should I wait to make a new request? Is there a maximun or something?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Certainly you can file a second request. I'd say wait a few weeks and if nothing shifts, then file another. Google's John Mueller (JohnMu on Google Groups) has been pretty clear that you can re-submit if you find and fix something new.
