Hello all,

I found couple of my domain have problems with google "info:example.com" query.

The query returns someone else's sites which are not mine.

I wonder what is happening. Any thoughts?

Thank you.

Is the very first bit of information wrong - the url in the link to the website? Or is it the other information, such as "Show Google's cache" or "Web pages from the site"?

I'm betting it's the new site, shared IP syndrome (NSSIPS). Usually the page title and URL belong to another site that is currently using or has recently used that IP. If it is, Google will sort it out in a few days to a week or so. Appear to be seeing this more often of late.

It uses shared ip but not a new site. It's been about 3 years.
Thank for your comment jimbeetle.

I've asked hosting company and they said it's google's problem, not theirs.
Well, is hosting company really 100% innocent?

Joe, from the symptoms you've shared, it could be the host or Google. People sometimes bring up issues like this on Google Groups and I've seen them go either way.

Something you can do on your own to analyze things a bit is to look into the domains that show up in error - where are they hosted, what IP address do they use, etc.
