Is it ok to use parenthesis in heading tags

Most of the time, in heading tags, I see a straight phrase used. I wanted to ask you guys if you think it would be ok to use parenthesis in heading tags?

E.g. <h1>Description on Widgets (2008 Version)</h1>

You can't always write a straight phrase. I think a colon or a - would also be ok but I would appreciate if you could please tell me what you think?
