Do Other Sites on Web Host Affect My site's Rankings?

Hi All,

I am planning to purchase a managed virtual dedicated webhosting plan from a company based in Seattle. I am happy with their service prices and read some good comments on their technical support services on some websites. However, I have just found that they also host x-rated websites. I wonder if this will affect my site when it comes to google indexing....I am guessing it is not because I am using a virtual dedicated server but am not entirely sure. Thank you for your advice.

No, there will be no affect on your rankings. In fact, even if you shared an IP address with an adult website it would not affect your rankings.
