I am using a small theme pyramid for my site :

I start off using the main keyword widget
Then break down in red widget , blue widget , green widget
Then i break it down in small red widegt , big red widget etc. (long tail )

The problem i am having is I my long tail page has lots of duplicate content eg.

Terms of purchase : blah blah blah blah blah
(repeated on every page )
Product quality : blah blha blah blah
(repeated on every page )
Child policy blah blha blah blah
(repeated on every page )

x : blah blha blah blah
(repeated on every page )

y : blah blha blah blah
(repeated on every page )

z : blah blha blah blah
(repeated on every page )

and i am wondering if this is going to impact me.

There are unique pictures on the page and unique content but i am wondering if i should take the terms to another page ?

There is about 100-200 words of text describing the product ?

there are some headers and some bold text.

Regards

Malcolm

Search engines "index text and follow links" so the repetition of words in anchor text within the site as well as in titles may be a setback. The images mean nothing to search engines, but thelack of variation in alternative text may be important.

I'd say your pages may be too similar for search engines to do a good job discovering the specific relevance of each one. There's an applicable discussion in the Hot Topics area [webmasterworld.com] where we discuss Adam_Lasnik's comments on boilerplate repetition [webmasterworld.com].
