Too many links in one week?

Hi,

is that true that google penalizes you if you create too many links for your website on other sites within a short period of time ? I read that google might think you pay for them ? by the way what is too many links in a period of 10 days

Google wants to see freely given, "editorial" links not links that the site owner "creates". You are much more likely to see a link burst that you create being devalued or ignored than you are to get a true penalty.

If you have a PR0 you should add a link ONCE A WEEK at most. And try to wait at least 3 weeks.
If you have a PR6 higher never add links - unless they are nofollow.
