Hi,

I got links on a few websites with high page rank ? I am wondering what will happen if they decide to take me out of their site, is my page rank going to get down or once I have let's say a 5 PR I stay at 5 whatever happens to the links I have on other website ?

Thanks,

PageRank is re-calculated daily. If good links go away, then PR will be affected. The toolbar may not show it right away, and the fall may not be enough to drop you down a whole digit anyway - but if the link is gone, then the real PR goes down.

Thank you and one more question :

are one way links better or worse than 2 way links ? in other word is is better to have someone link my website or is it better to have someone create a link for me and also me create one for them on my website ?

Thanks

I forgot one last thing !

you said PR are updated daily, I currently have a PR of 1 but with having a few links on high PR website for my keyword I went from 40 th position on google to 16 ! in the last 10 days, I am currently not moving... I am just wondering if there is a chance I can move up again once my PR is updated in the google toolbar ?

if not how can I rank higher ? more links with high PR or is it just a matter a time or number of visits on my website ?

Thanks,

tedster

A toolbar update is not lined up with ranking changes. By the time the new PR numbers are exported to the toolbar, the real PR the Google uses behind the scenes (as one of 200+ factors) was updated long ago and its effect is already seen in the ranking positions.
