Google Image Bot Crawl Frequency?

I have a fairly new website and was wondering when I can expect a few images from my website to show up on Google Image SERP? So far nothing shows up when I Google Image Search: example.com

3-6 months? 1 year?

Based on your experience how long did you have to wait before you received Google Image traffic?

What about MSN and Yahoo Image Traffic?

Looks like no takers so far - I don't watch image search closely enough to tell you much. I just know that it's slow.

I had an old site where I remember it took about 3 months to have the first image show up on Google.

Since I am updating my newest site much more frequently and received more/better back links, I expected Google Image to crawl the site sooner.

It has already been 3 months with the new site and still no luck.

For my sites, it does take 3 to 6 months. I have seen current images from news sites appear earlier though.
