I wanted to ask what your guys experience with keyword density of the title tag is? If you have increased the keyword density of your title tag, maybe by making it shorter (less words) or by changing the words in it, have you seen that help you in the SERP?

If Google doesn't take keyword density too seriously for main text, I doubt it is too concerned about it in the title.

I doubled my density on one site (adding - "Site Domain Name" to the end), but it probably didn't help/hurt.

I would never repeat one word more than three times in a title.

Any fiddling with title tags for density or any other reason should be done with extreme caution. It is high-risk editing based on optimization penalties. Google may even update its historical profile on your site branding you an "optimizer." Hiss! :/
