We own a site called [snip] It has a Page Rank of 5 and over 8,000 links but the site doesnt appear in google's natural listings, even if using the domain itself as the search term!

My guess is that we were penalised due to our marketing agency creating inbound links but these were removed 6 months ago.

Is there anything we can do?

Hi Nick,

There are numerous existing threads that will help you identify the problem with your site. A good starting point is the Google Hot Topics [webmasterworld.com] section (always linked from the homepage of the Google forum). This has a whole section on penalties such as Am I Penalized? [webmasterworld.com].

Generally speaking, the process is to ensure your site is clean, and then file a "reconsideration request" with Google. There are also various threads about this process, including Filing a Google Reconsideration Request: What is the Process? [webmasterworld.com]
