Google removing my pages from its index

Hello,
I have a problem...I got about 6000 pages removed from google index. The website is an online news magazine, update by journalists who write original content daily...Our Pr increased by one last week from 3 to 4 but at the same time, we got so many pages removed...are we going to be blacklisted ?

First things first, hanyaz - how are you determining that your pages have been removed from the index?

when i tape site:wwww.mysite.com before i used to have 12000 results and now only 4072...

try this instead -

site:example.com (without the www)

There's a difference between a site with and without www. (which technically, is a subdomain of example.com)

Do you come up with a different figure?

The site: operator is also a strange beast, and IMO you should not rely on the numbers at all. See, for instance:

nope Marcia i got practically the same number,perhaps Andy is right i should not rely on the numbers.
I have approximatly the same number of visitors:around 230 per day...
