But I only checked because you posted about it. I have not submitted a url to any search engine in at least six years. For me the ideal is that urls are discovered through natural crawling. If the site is well designed, that's all it takes.
On some sites, with high-churn on the pages such as rapidly changing products, an xml sitemap that pings Google when it's changed can help a bit, but that still runs a distant second in my choices.
