hi all

my site was hit yesterday by what i think is a google redirect penalty, a month ago i changed some of my pages to redirect to another site. But the page which redirects was set to noindex on the page itself and on the robot.txt.

Anyway since yesterday i have lost all rankings, any keyword i search i am on the last page but all my pages are still on the google index.

I have now removed all redirects and not sure what to do next, should i ask for Request reconsideration or wait for the penalty to be removed automatically. If it will be automatically removed how long will it take?

Appreciate any help on this.

David

Hello David. It never hurts to submit a reinclusion request unless you are doing something fishy.

I would apply for reinclusion and explain in the form that you incorrectly redirected to a website that had noindex pages.
