Google Image Search - new advanced option for 'photos'

Advance Search options for Google now allow you to restrict a search to:

any content - news content - faces - photo content

The photo content option is new, but I'm not sure about the others, especially "faces". I also wonder if introducing this new capacity has been part of the turmoil that some have noticed in Image Search over recent months.

I haven't noticed this before and the results of my initial tests were very good. This looks like a powerful feature.
