What does it take to rank well worldwide?

Hi,
I have a website that is very well optimized and I am getting many users from Asia and Europe. However in USA I don't see my website in even page 10. What things should I consider to get rank well all over the world?

Ps: I have seen 6 sites that keep appears in every region. I found nothing special in them checked everything.

I only checked backlinks but not sure how to check by country. Can you tell me how to check backlinks by country?

You can do a whois lookup, or you can grab the IP address of the domain and then use an IP to location lookup utility.

Yes, did that few hours ago, all USA servers including my own servers. I have some personal sites that are also linking to that site and they have similar contents.
