fastest way to update indexed pages?

This is probably a repeat question that comes up again and again, and I'm sorry for the duplication.

If you had a series of pages to update (for instance, changing 2008 to 2009 in the title tags), and you wanted G to recognize the new version ASAP, would you:

1. hand submit each page
2. simply update your xml sitemap
3. wait for the next regular pass of the G bot
4. do both 1 & 2
5. something else?

I've got better things to be doing with my time, than submitting anything to search engines.

[I'd assume that your pages were already in your XML sitemap file, if you use one.]
