Will links to Custom Search results be OK?

We need to improve our site search and are looking at the Google Custom Search product where we pay fee for volume of queries and customize the search for our purpose.

We will be replacing some links that point to search results on pages relevant to the search. Using our existing search, there has been no problem with these search results pages being indexed by google. Would this be any different when using the google custom search product?

Any thoughts from others who may be, or have considered, doing this appreciated.

Google does not like search results pages to appear in its serps. I cite Google references in this recent discussion, but they're probably worth repeating here...

Linking to my own sites

Google offers this in its Webmaster Guidelines [google.com]....

Use robots.txt to prevent crawling of search results pages or other auto-generated pages that don't add much value for users coming from search engines.

In what you're doing, where I gather you're doing this to help site visitors, not to boost your own rankings, I recommend that you both block your search results pages and nofollow the links to them.
